2007, Nettwerk
Hailing from Bergen, Datarock -- Frederik Saroea (vocals/guitar) and Ketil Mosnes (bass/keyboards) -- combine post-punk with disco-tinged techno to create a non-stop dance party. The duo originally bonded over their shared affection for Talking Heads, Devo and the Happy Mondays, who recently asked Datarock to remix one of their songs. The album, which was previously released in Norway, the UK and a few other countries on their own label, Young Aspiring Professional (YAP), will include new tracks along with three music videos as a bonus.

Brenton SmithPure awesomeness. I never listened to this kind of music before I heard Datarock. Highlights are "Computer Camp Love", "Fa Fa Fa" and all the other ones. "I Will Aways Remember You" is my guilty secret.
