Following a split 7" release, Hooker closes the chapter on his longtime moniker A John Henry Memorial. Though this represents his first nationally distributed release, Hooker has been producing, recording and performing for decades, notably including sessions and tours with YACHT, White Hinterland, and Adrian Orange. Touchstones here are old Palace records or Elephant 6 crew, with comparable lo-fi aesthetics, and unflinchingly forward vocals.
