Although they're quintessentially English, Southampton's Delays aren't your quintessential Brit-pop band. The darling foursome can avoid being hailed as saviors of pop music by NME simply because they lack swagger. The Delays' long-awaited debut album features classic songwriting steeped in British pop tradition -- think The La's meet The Hollies. Brilliant melodies and hooks drive their memorable songs, with summery harmonies as the secret weapon.
