2004, Staub Gold
A collaboration from an unlikely pairing, but it sounds so right! New Jersey's indie hip-hop outfit Dalek team up with German Krautrock survivors Faust for a record that easily shows how the former's noisy loops and penchant for volume connect with the latter's sound. Recorded in three sessions over a two-year period, "Derbe Respect, Alde"r features both groups in musical and ideological harmony, as they deliver a merciless, straight-in-your-face, and at times brutal album of noise groove magic. Includes an update of the track "T-electronique" which originally appeared on Faust's "Ravvivando" album.
