2007, Strictly Amateur Films
Connecting the musical dots between Auckland, Chicago, New York City and London, Die! Die! Die! is one of the best bands to emerge from New Zealand in over a decade. Their Steve Albini-produced debut, with an emphasis on pummeling, primal garage-punk rhythms shot through with shard-like guitar work, creates a driving sound highly reminiscent of Warsaw, Therapy?, and Wire that is utterly immediate and visceral, melodic and danceable.
