Different Class is a defining album - not only of Pulp but of the '90s. Following a barnstorming headline set at Glastonbury, where they were last minute stand-ins for the injured Stone Roses, they captured the mood of the '90s and encapsulated it in some of the finest songs of a generation, including the modern classic "Common People." The album served as a manifesto as Jarvis and co. rallied the nation's disaffected youth and went on to top many end-of-year polls in 1995, selling over 2 million albums worldwide on its way. The Deluxe Edition features the original album in its full glory as the first disc, with the classics "Common People," "Disco 2000," "Mis Shapes" and "Sorted For E's and Wizz." The second disc of bonus material has been personally chosen by Jarvis Cocker and features b-sides and three previously unreleased tracks. This luxuriously packaged set comes complete with a thirty-two page booklet featuring previously unseen photos from the album sessions and sleeve notes written by Jarvis.
