VINYL FORMAT. British Midlands sextet Virgin Passages create beautifully original soundscapes from often improvised pieces but retain a pop sensibility akin to early Mercury Rev, Spacemen 3 and Jackie-O Motherfucker. Distance sees them in great pop form with the short and sweet title track followed by the meandering, Stereolab-like anthem of "This Is Not The End Of The World Again" and the neu-folk of the subtly sublime "Who Do You Love."
