Do the Work

About a year ago, maybe more, the end of 2008 beginning of 2009 I was fortunate to have booked The Andalusians at my club Sierra Grille in Northampton,Ma. The show was great, I believe it was a Winter date as well so we were lucky to get touring bands in New England in the Winter. It was an intimate crowd, many who had never heard of this band (that's the way it is every Thurs at Sierra Grille) but the crowds show up knowing they'll see and hear quality underground up and coming indie pop and rock music. The crowd was blown away and ALL of the bands 7" were sold out! That's saying something about their performance, the state of vinyl and the music industry etc. The kids want vinyl! My review: I gave it a B because side a is all I wanna hear, over and over, I guess I need to download the bonus tracks but in my opinion side A gets and A and side B a c- averaging out to the B. They fit 2 songs on side a that get you excited and moving and remind you of the dancing we were doin at the show that night. Side B's not bad but just doesn't add up to the powerhouse electrifying, dancey almost soul music of side A. That's the only problem w/ vinyl, were spoiled nowadays and I just wanna click a button twice and start at track 1 again! The recording quality is EXCELLENT and you know time and $ was spent on delivering a quality product all around. If you see this buy it! If you have a credit card order it, if you book shows book ThE AndaLusians, you won't be let down! They deliver!
