2007, The Brothers Label
Brooklyn-based quartet Professor Murder once again bust straight up out of the gate with another barnstorming
dancefloor effort -- a new-school anthem soon to be insinuating its catchier than-all-get-out, sing-a-long chorus
into your brain long after the track has ended. Like the frenetic, bastard child of Gorilla Biscuits, EMF, and some
celestial, space-dust dub, "Dutch Hex" (produced by sibling duo The Brothers) comes screaming across sound
systems; a smear of dense, chunky rhythm that doesn't so much ask you to dance as forces you into it. From
the opening squalls of minimal, four-on-the-floor verses, to the ecstatic, Moog-drenched refrain, the latest single
by the critically lauded band will likely become the next, greatest backdrop to your last minute house party or
Rave Till Dawn debacle.
