Elad Love Affair

Elad Love Affair formed in the year 2000 in Buffalo, New York. The group self released a few limited CD-Rs before signing to Immigrant Sun Records and releasing a 6 song EP in June of 2003 entitled "a woman gives birth to a gun and it stabs her." Elad blended dissonant harmonies, angular guitar work, and dark and haunting lyrics to form a unique sound with roots in the post punk and post hardcore genres. Nola Ranallo's intense vocal performances and cryptic lyrics gave the group a unique edge. After playing nearly a hundred shows, including 3 tours of the east coast / mid-west, and with only one proper release under their belt, Elad played their last show in Buffalo on 12/30/2003. Singer Nola Ranallo has been releasing records under the moniker Cages ever since and guitarists Ryan McMullen and Bill Abdale went on to performin the instrumental projects Teeth So Sharp, Novelist, Black Centipede, and Asten. In 2009 McMullen and Duggan began playing together again in the instrumental group Lucubrae and McMullen founded The Fucking Hotlights.
