Eskimo Kisses is the best indie rock/ punk band to come out of Texas since Spoon, Sixteen Deluxe, and Sincola, and they're continuing to raise the bar for what smart rock bands are going to be in the future. The musical chemistry between the twin guitars of Shar McLeod and Kevin Hauser is unmistakable in its melodically dissonant glory, and the powerhouse drumming of Kevin Bybee is a perfect compliment. Live, they bring to the table the power of a great punk band coupled with the sound of a great indie rock band, while on record they add a calculated complexity that is oh-so-rare in the 'rock' world today.
