2009, Alive Records
Great primitive psychedelic blues from Welsh brothers Aled and Brennig Clifford. Nothing cerebral here, just some organic blues rock goodness. Aled is an inspired guitarist who has worked as a session man for producer Ian Grimble, and even recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios. He is also a powerful singer in the tradition of Noddy Holder, Fogerty, Tony McPhee, etc. His younger brother Brennig has been playing the drums since he was nine and brings a punk spirit to their sound. Aled and Brennig come from a family of musicians, their uncle was even asked to join the legendary sixties Welsh band Man as lead singer. If you're into Buffalo Killers, Radio Moscow, Black Keys and Black Diamond Heavies, you'll probably dig these guys
