Burial (CD)
Only a label like Solid State could dig up evil-sounding death metal/black metal Christians from the depth of Norway. And their combination of experimental guitar leads, hardcore breakdowns, and melodic vocals help make Burial a breath of fresh air among a genre that relies on satanic gimmicks. Extol isn't afraid to go speak their beliefs even if it isn't popular within the black metal realm. Being accomplished musicians with strong heads on their shoulders makes this release something to be respected, if not enjoyed by believers and non-believers. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide

| they're an aggresive metal band who play excellently. If you're a die-hard metal listener, this record will please your eardrums...
Ontop of that, their lyrics are totally cutting edge. This is a band who's faith is rooted in Christ, and they aren't afraid to sing (scream it). Even if the metal dosen't suit your ears, the lyrics should encourage any Christian who is serious about their faith! Go EXTOL! May Christ recieve all glory. | |
