James BrimacombeThis album is stellar! I just went on a huge car ride and this was the only CD I had in the car. So I got to listen to it up and down for 6 hours straight. Very catchy tunes, and an album you will not be afraid to listen to every track. These guys will now make it huge in the States. They could be called mini-coldplay! Buy the album it is a great listen.
Andrew SchubertFirst the complaints: Although this album is incredible, it is not enough of a departure from their last record and some of the melodies are almost carbon copies. It's also weird to hear Sufjan Stevens namedropped in a song. HOWEVER....the melodies and emotion that the songs are sung with will floor you. It is a most enjoyable album, solid all the way through with songs of love and losing. Definitely a road trip record. Singer Gary Lightbody certainly knows how to write a great relationship song with a driving backbeat and exquisite harmonies. For fans of Teenage Fanclub, Superdrag etc.
