2011, Fabric Records
Famed for his appearences in Bond films, soap operas, documentaries and reality shows, with Fabriclive 58, Goldie shows he has always remained true to the drum and bass that made him a worldwide star. His interest with hip-hop culture extended to a fascination with the breakbeat techno that emerged from the rave scene in the early '90s. The profile of drum & bass grew and the release of Goldie's 1995 album, Timeless saw him become the public face of the genre. He also founded the Metalheadz label with fellow drum & bass pioneers Kemistry & Storm in 1994. Fabriclive 58 features many cuts from Metalheadz, along with tracks from some of the freshest other labels on the scene.
