REISSUE. Mus' long out-of-print and much-acclaimed debut album! "Fai" followed two EPs where Mus tested the waters of trip-pop and electronica (their influences included John Barry soundtracks, Bossa, Stereolab, Spiritualized, and French Chanson). Mus recorded "Fai" at home, but it's in no way a lo-fi record. This early work is closer to Massive Attack than their later releases, although the trademark Mus melancoly is still present. In fact, no one has ever sounded so gloriously dark. We also get the novelty of a shy Nacho Vegas singing a love song with Monica Vacas (Nacho is one of Spain's best known rockers). Since "Fai," Mus has become a more rock-guitar, bass, & drums-oriented band, in the vein of Low or Hope Sandoval.
