With their first full–length album, Fifteen Feet And Twenty Degrees, Why Make
Clocks have created an album of ten honest, beautiful songs in which emotions
coexist with melodies and understated musical intricacies. Recorded over a
three–month period at Presto! Studios in Lincoln, NE with A.J. Mogis (Bright Eyes,
Lullaby For The Working Class), Fifteen Feet… finds the group exploring the studio
and expanding their sound. Constantly unfolding compositions laced with
vibraphones, pianos, organs and tympanis prove ominous and majestic. Rougher cuts
provide a combination of big chords and vocals at their most dynamic. This album
showcases Why Make Clocks at their climactic best.
