Fingerpointing

Fingerpointing features Jim O'Rourke's unique mix of the Fingerpainting material released in 1999. At the time, Mayo wasn't into Jim's strange formula. Almost ten years later Mayo dug it out of the piles and loved it. We spun it and dug it as well. Hence the re-issue of a new Fingerpainting. Now called Fingerpointing.

Fingerpointing follows The Red Krayola's un-formula, first elaborated in The Parable of Arable Land (1967), designed to immerse and entertain the listener and confound the FM DJ's and anyone else's quest for the perfect segue in a narrative of counter - cultural meaningfulness. Fingerpointing reiterates the structure and the material of Fingerpainting; it too is a parade of freak outs and songs alternately, and like its progenitors, a dynamic synthesis that puts in play all that is at stake in the musical relation under the rubric of entertainment.
