Centro-matic is the pride of the Lone Star state - working-class heroes responsible for releasing more than 200 songs in the past seven years. On countless albums, EPs, side-projects, seven-inches and compilations, songwriter Will Johnson is a legend in Texas. Their undeniable live show has been blowing minds across the U.S. and Europe, as they've shared the stage with like-minded souls such as My Morning Jacket, Drive by Truckers and Long Winters. With critics hailing them as them as a second coming of Wilco, Guided by Voices or Archers of Loaf, truckloads of great press, including a slot on Rolling Stone's Hot List and a live show that leaves the stage smoldering, Centro-matic are officially the next big thing. This EP is a companion to Love You Just the Same--when it came time to release the album, they trimmed the hours of recordings down to 13 songs and 50 minutes and with so many quality leftovers (including two extra versions of live show favorite Flashes and Cables), the idea for this EP was put into motion. Aside from 28 minutes of music, also included are four QuickTime videos that can be viewed on your Mac or PC.
