Fontanelle is a Portland, OR based quartet featuring Andy Brown and Rex Ritter, formerly of Jessamine. Fontanelle was recorded at their Magnetic Park studio. Two guitars, keyboards and drums interweave in complex, bubbling and sometimes downright funky patterns that evoke Steve Reich, electric Miles Davis and Can. Melody and rhythm bob, weave and play off each other subtly.
