2012, Red Bull
Glasglow's Twin Atlantic released their 2009 mini-album Vivarium and it immediately found an awestruck audience. Reviews were uniformly ecstatic. Grand, sweeping, eloquent, it was a collection of songs with a heart and soul, crafted by passion and informed by staunch lyrical and musical frankness. It also set the band on a rollercoaster that's now led to the release of their proper, full-length debut: Free. It's an inspiring party of songs full of ambition and pain and belief and soul—injected into a world of music dominated by talent show winners and mass-marketed bands. In Europe, Twin Atlantic were named iTunes Best New Rock Artist of 2011, and proved the #1 selling indie rockers last year, too. Now, the band's sights are set on the US and Canada, with intent to conquer before the world ends.
