VINYL FORMAT. Kaos's latest is krautrock all over; it weaves strand after strand of its various strains into its blend. What results is both a celebration of Germany's legacy of musical experimentation and innovation, and a remembrance of Kaos's lengthy tenure spent working at the legendary Conny Plank studio (Can, Neu!, Kraftwerk). And yet, to leave it there would be to overlook so much else that's interwoven. Amidst the long, kosmic synth strains and the blinking, starlit keys, impossibly romantic undertones waft through. They rise to the very surface when the vocal emerges, a soothing melody of earnest proclamations to a longed for lover.
