VINYL FORMAT. According to the UK press, Guillemots are the next big thing. This prediction comes from the band's quirky live show and a sound best described as inviting, eclectic, swaggering psychedelic indie-pop, with warm and distinctive vocals, something the Brits have come to call "odd-pop." The band is fronted by Birmingham born Fyfe Dangerfield, and includes the unfeasibly glamorous double bassist Aristazabal Hawkes: the scintillating guitarist MC Lord Magrao, and drumming thunderclap Rican Caol. Inspired by the energy of soul and "great pop", the band tries to keep that at the heart of their experimentation. In Fyfe's words: "We want to make music that reveals something new, but is still accessible."
