Soundtracks (CD)
Soundtracks is the beautiful, atmospheric, solo instrumental recording
from Naïm Amor, Part ambient, part French, bistro pop, and part desert
expanse, this 7 song EP is sparse, moving, and cinematic.
"Soundtracks" was recorded and played by Naïm Amor in Tucson AZ, and
features Joey Burns of Calexico and Thomas Belhom of The Amor Belhom Duo.
With guitars, vibes, melodica, drum loops, trumpet, cellos, and piano,
Amor's Soundtracks is a patient and breathing score for a film that will never be made.
Amor is one half of "avant-french pop" duo The Amor/Belhom Duo from Paris,
France (with Thomas Belhom) now living in Tucson, Arizona. The Amor/Belhom
Duo has released 2 albums "Wavelab" and "Self-Titled" in Europe, and will
release them in the U.S. in September 2001 on Carrot Top Records (Chicago).
Since 1998 The Amor Belhom Duo has toured extensively in Europe and in the
U.S. and has toured with Sparklehorse, Idaho, Calexico, David Grubbs and
Blonde Redhead. Most recently, The Amor/Belhom Duo teamed up with
Joey Burns and John Convertino of Calexico and recorded the amazing
ABBC "Tete e Tete" (from Wabana) which has been receiving critical praise in
the U.S., Europe and Japan.
