Metallica is easily one of the best, most influential heavy metal band of the '80s. They expanded the limits of thrash, using speed and volume not for their own sake, but to enhance their intricately structured compositions.

Garage Inc. is a cover/compilation album originally released on November 24, 1998. It includes recorded cover songs, all of their B-side covers released up to that point, and the entire The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-Revisited, which has gone out of print since its original release in 1987.
