George Usher Group
George Usher Group is a power pop/indie pop band based around its namesake, singer-songwriter George Usher. The band released their debut album, 'Days of Plenty', in 2001 through Parasol Records. It had been recorded in New York City and New Jersey and was mixed by longtime pop rock musician Mitch Easter. The band's latest album, 'Fire Garden', was released in 2003-- also through Parasol Records and also mixed by Easter.
Musically, the band is heavily influenced by Big Star and Usher himself by Alex Chilton.
