Get Evens

VINYL FORMAT. The infamous Washington DC duo The Evens release their sophomore album Get Evens. In this album, the duo which comprises Ian MacKaye (Teen Idles, Minor Threat, Fugazi) and Amy Farina (The Warmers) profoundly explore the theme of revenge, hence the title, Get Evens. Get Evens sounds like a much more accomplished piece of music presenting the same sensitivity (as their self-titled debut) and addressing political issues but somehow sounding more musically complex and almost more experimental. The band have truly reached the peak of their craft. Fans of MacKaye and Farina would probably expect nothing less from such accomplished musicians. MacKaye was once quoted saying "Music kicked my ass and I intend to return the favour", in this case, Get Evens surely does.
