GSL is pleased to announce the imminent arrival of the second full-length album from Los Angeles-based The Starvations. Recalling the tinted grit of fellow L.A.-area bands of yesterday like X, The Gun Club, and even the early Vandals, the band charge through 13 wicked tracks of melancholy, whiskey-stained punk twang. Vocalist Gabriel Hart is often compared to a "young Jeffrey Lee Pierce," the vivid, end-of-his-rope lyrical aesthetic casting a moody shadow over the band's otherwise raucous noise. Recorded at the semi-legendary Distillery in Costa Mesa, CA, (Le Shok, The Stitches, etc.) "Get Well Soon" follows the band's recent split single with L.A.'s The Fuse! on Broadway Jungle, the "Horrified Eyes" single on GSL, as well as EPs on Kapow Records and the band's own Revenge imprint.
