Give Up The Ghost

There are at least two artists with the name "Give up the Ghost":

1) Give Up the Ghost (earlier known as American Nightmare) was a Boston hardcore band formed in 1999. Through a legal battle the band was forced to change their name; they briefly performed as "American Nothing" before changing their name in 2003 to Give Up the Ghost. The band put out records on Bridge 9 and Equal Vision before breaking up suddenly in spring 2004. Wes Eisold has since gone on to front spastic hardcore "supergroup" Some Girls and is a member of XO Skeletons and he has a side project called Cold Cave.

Other members of the band have gone on to play in Equal Vision outfit Bars, The Hope Conspiracy, and Head Automatica.

2) A British alternative band from Stourbridge, West Midlands.
