Gobbledigook

VINYL FORMAT. "Gobbledigook" is the spectacular opener on Sigur Rós' album Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust - and is one of the most hymn-like songs they've written thus far. Fellow Icelanders Stephen Stephenson aka President Bongo (Gus Gus) and Jack Schidt transform the complex, polyrhythmic original into an exceptionally ethereal club track. The percussive groove takes over the tribalistic atmosphere of the original, catapulting it into the future. Thomas Fehlmann's remix is sensational, and somehow turns this song into a schaffel.
