VINYL FORMAT. Brant Bjork hails from Palm Desert, California, where he began gigging at the age of thirteen. By high school Brant had begun Kyuss with locals Josh Homme, Chris Cockrell, (later Nick Oliveri) and John Garcia. Kyuss was signed to Elektra and became the first desert rock band to achieve international success by spearheading a musical movement that brought heavy and psychedelic sounds back to rock and roll and served as a prototype for all "desert/stoner rock". His seventh solo album, Gods and Goddesses, is on Low Desert Punk (his own label). It was Recorded during the first two weeks of November, 2009, in Los Angeles with engineer/producer Ethan Allen; co-produced by Brant Bjork. On this new recording, Brant is joined by Giampaulo Farnedi (Brant Bjork & The Bros) on drums, and two Low Desert locals: Billy Cordell (Yawning Man) on bass and Brandon Henderson (Half Astro, Family Butcher) on guitar.
