2004, Vagrant
VINYL FORMAT. Although five years may not seem like a long time for bands to build a career, it has been a slow but steady climb upward for Alkaline Trio. The Chicago-based band has been watching sales of their first four albums climb with each release, and have watched crowds for their live shows go from a few dozen to a few thousand. Catalog sales of their last album, "From Here To Infirmary," have maintained an awfully steady pace. Which is a testament to the growing word of mouth about the Trio.
"Good Mourning" is truly the band's best work to date. Working with white-hot producer Jerry Finn (AFI, Green Day, Blink 182), the band have delivered another slice of dark, ominous punk rock with the signature Trio lyrics...songs about heartache, depression, and dealing with life's problems. However there is just enough sunlight and positive energy in these songs to keep you from getting too down while listening. Fans are sure to feel right at home with "Good Mourning."
