2006, Creative Capitalism
Creative Capitalism announces the debut release from the newly formed avante pop innovators LO MOdA in a beautifully designed custom packaged booklet titled Gospel Store Front. This left-of-center line-up includes members from Candy Machine (Skene, East West, Desoto/Dischord), INK (Monitor Records), Fascist Fascist, The Uniform, and Thank You, voicing through guitars, stand-up drums, keyboards, viola, and vocals. Very rarely do you hear a group of songs that will move you physically and emotionally the way these songs do.
LO MOdA has been described as minimally devised hooks and tensions brought up on agit-prop and Motown. Gospel Store Front is a poetic manifesto of love songs and defiant resistance, which will sear your heart and leave you wanting to hear more.
