The starting point of the original track was the rumbling bass line played by Kittin herself for the first time on the guitar, here backed by two very different remixes from the highly rated Sleeparchive and Martinez. Putting some dark Berlin techno into the Kittin sound, Sleeparchive shows us why he has, without any promotion, become one of the most revered techno artists. He has produced some stunning pieces of electronic music that cannot be pigeonholed into one particular genre of dance music. Wrapping a haunting melody over his brooding, industrial groove, Sleeparchive reminds us just how good techno can be. With a string of releases behind him for Steve Bug's Audiomatique and Dessous, Get Physical and his own Out of Orbit and Re:connected labels, Danish rising star Martinez (aka Martin Swanstein) brings the party into a late night groove with a hypnotic, rolling percussive rework that phases parts of Kittin's voice in and out of the mix, creating a tripped-out minimal monster.
