Look at the cover art. Now the album title. They're circular. Elliptical. And so, it would seem, is the music of dilute. However, much like the not-quite-closed circle that adorns the cover, the music is open-ended, yet suggests an elliptical form. The songs' conclusions are mindful of where they began, even if the elongated song structures wind and weave through both pastoral stretches and precipitous crags.

Like the first rainfall after a long drought, this album is first heard with a sense of disbelief. 'This can't be happening.' Oh, but it is. Notes, like so many tiny crystalline raindrops, descend upon the ears to bring relief and inspire awe. What's played and sung is tender, softening, and vital.
