2004, Drag City
Companion piece to the Palace Music singles collection, "Guarapero" compiles stuff from The Palace years (1991-1995) through the Will Oldham years (1996-2000), and includes some unreleased gems, plus faves like "Drinking Woman" and "Every Mother's Son"; special requests like "The
Spider's Dude Is Often There" and "Gezundheit"; and a high-larious cover of
AC/DC's "Big Balls" that is too too cheeky. Also includes two tracks from the
infamous, never-to-be-released "Guarapero" LP, recorded by Steve Albini and
featuring Mick Turner, David Grubbs, and Ned Oldham.
