REISSUE. VINYL FORMAT. In 1992 Guided By Voices released their 5th album, Propeller, in a limited run of 500 copies, many with individually created covers. After several years of indifference to their previous self-released albums, the band assumed this would be their final LP. But people at better record stores took notice of this album and word about the group began to spread quickly, leading to cancellation of their retirement plans and a significantly higher profile in the following years. Vinyl lovers can now buy these high-quality reproductions at 1% of the cost of an original. There are two different LP jacket designs available, taken from Propeller #1 and #14, respectively. Each is printed on heavy duty tip-on style jackets, includes a heavy weight insert picturing all known Propellers, and is pressed from DMM masters on virgin vinyl.
