Carlos Paredes was one of the greatest Portuguese guitarists, & a symbol of the Portuguese culture - not simply a great composer, but one of the men behind the worldwide understanding of his instrument & his country. His full-length debut, Guitarra Portuguesa, was released in 1967, now reissued in 2011. This recording would establish him as the master of the Portuguese guitar.
