this wonderful self-titled debut record by hangedup is another in a series of raw & intimate sessions documented in montreal on the 8-track reel-to-reel deck at hotel2tango. the pieces on hangedup range from borderline musique concrete experimentation to 80s new wave pop extrapolations, bound by a minimalist agenda throughout. cameo appearances by electric bass and overdubbed effects provide some additional textures. the album is available on lp & cd formats, packaged in red cardstock felt paper with two-tone semi-opaque printing.
