A multi-talented musician and producer, Chllngr's performances consist of analog keys, haunted drum samples, live vocals and saxophone. Chllngr's music style combines elements of dub, 2-step, and R&B with a nocturnal aesthetic. After a slew of successful remixes (The XX and MIA) and involvement with Cubic Zirconia, Spoek Mathambo, and Teachers there are only signs that point to success for Chllngr (aka Steven Jess Borth II). He has a distinctive production style that utilizes thick and heavy rhythms with hopeful melodies coiled around apocalyptic soundscapes. With a growing catalog of solo productions Chllngr's debut Haven is his most focused, distinctive work to date.
