2005, Shake It
Although mostly known as the frontman for his band The Broke Revue as well as his collaborations with Billy Childish & Holly Golightly, Dan Melchior takes a step off the beaten path from his past recordings & tries his hand at his first go as a solo artist. As his debut as a solo artist, Dan wears all the hats (except for a wee bit of keyboard help from his wife) and chooses to continue to develop his craft as he has in the past with various line-ups of The Broke Revue. Throughout these 18 tracks, his wry sense of humor surfaces in the songwriting as he steps back to take a snap shot of popular culture and the bullshit-filled social situations that we all confront everyday.
