Issue #14 (Zine)
The Anorexia/Technology issue.
Hailed by the Voice Literary Supplement, the Manchester Guardian, Factsheet Five, and Sassy (back when Sassy was cool) as the funniest serious intellectual journal in America, Hermenaut has published articles comparing the cast of Beverly Hills 90210 to archetypal gods and goddesses, Melrose Place novelizations to the works of Samuel Beckett, and the fighting style of Bruce Lee to postmodern literary theory. Hermenauts-of-the-month have included everyone from obscure audio-scientist Dwight Batteau to existential theologian Paul Tillich to Oscar Wilde, the Godfather of Camp. Zine celebrities from Lisa (Rollerderby) Carver to Al (Thrift SCORE) Hoff to Dame (Meat Cake) Darcy are regular contributors. Hermenaut has been bringing the street to the academy and the academy to the street since 1992.
