Debut from DC band who specialise in a particularly compelling brand of haunted, post-everything chamber rock. Angular & enigmatic compositions channelled via sparse vocals & economic guitar playing amidst a storm of surrounding instrumentation. Sonorous & exploratory, weaving bass lines w/melodies carried by clarinet & violin rather than voice & guitar augmented, rather than anchored, by circular, orchestral percussion. Fleeting remnants of bands like Raincoats, Mazzy Star & Godspeed YBE can be heard
