VINYL FORMAT. Comes on grey-marbled vinyl and includes a digital download code AND a huge poster. Limited to only 500 copies! Four friends gave birth to Holy in the hot summer of 2011 in Milano, Italy. While most people were hanging out in shorts and sunglasses, planning their holiday and heading to the seaside, Holy was locked inside a hot, sweaty rehearsal room, writing songs.
Holy have strived to create something different, meaningful and more exciting from the other bands they were previously involved with. Inspired by seminal bands in the hardcore and punk scene like Infest, Discharge and Dropdead, they create fast, powerful music with substance. With a voice that focuses on political issues and life choices. In this day and age, the idea of giving some meaning to music seems to have disappeared, and what seems to be even more difficult is turning revolutionary ideas and thoughts into song. By now the common habit in the underground music scene and in the so-called harcore-punk scene is to create meaningless songs and soulless music. 20 years ago bands were speaking about revolution. Holy strives to continue that revolution.
Communicating their ideals, encouraging youth to stand up and making people THINK. Holy’s message talks about personal and social discomfort, the human and animal exploitation, the corruption in the religious institution, the senseless choices of the political institutions, the senseless power of the police and army institutions. It only took a few days to give birth to a fistful of songs, 8 to be exact. Soon after, a demo was recorded in that same hot sweaty rehearsal room, which instead of being a demo become Holy’s debut record.
