2005, Buddyhead Records
The city of Los Angeles has been burning since is inception. The hills, city streets, citizens and culture have been subjected to consistently tumultuous times under the filthy veil of entertainment and the moniker that 'dreams come true'. Whether it's the arson that's plagued the hillsides, the Watts Riots or the violent reactions to the Rodney King beatings. Angeleno's have always had a powerful and intense voice, both proactive and reactive. Buddyhead's newest recruits posses this powerful intensity in spades! Combining the influences of Drive Like Jehu, Black Flag and The Birthday Party and channeling it into an amalgamation of sound and energy that's hard to dismiss and impossible to ignore. Merely out of high school, these elements have seen Wires On Fire grace the cover of the LA Weekly, tour the United States, and support such bands as: The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Fall, McLusky, Death From Above, Don Caballero, 400 Blows, The Icarus Line, Big Business, The Mean Reds, and The Dillinger Escape Plan (too mention just a few).
