Hot Little Hands

Hot Little Hands was established in Melbourne, Victoria in 2005 by Tim Harvey. Current members include Royce Akers, Raphael Hammond, Brigitte Hart and James Harvey. China Harvey was a founding member but left the group in 2007 to work in Indigenous Australian communities in far north Queensland.

They started gigging intensively in April 2006 at various nightclubs and pubs in Prahran, Fitzroy, Brunswick, Collingwood and the CBD. Their frequent local performances (including two live-to-air set on PBS fm, fundraisers for The Berry Street Foundation and the Australian Conservation Foundation) culminated with playing at the 2007 Chill Island Festival, the 2008 St Jerome's Laneway Festival and their own Australian national tour of the same year.

Signed to Rubber Records, Hot Little Hands completed their first album 'Dynamite in Black and White' in 2008. This first release was in-fact their third successful attempt at recording. The songs was first recorded by Tim as home-studio demos. They then went into the studio in 2006 at Super Melody World and Marty Brown's home-studio. However, this second attempt suffered from financial constraints and was never completed. The final product was finished in June 2008; a combination of elements of the original demos and new recordings under the guidance of producer Franc Tetaz at Sing Sing, Moose and The Hanger.

The band supported ARIA award winning Clare Bowditch on her Australian national tour of 2008. In addition, they have previously played with The Temper Trap, Plug-In City, Who Made Who, Born Ruffians, Midnight Juggernaughts, Art of Fighting, Dan Kelly and The Alpha Males, Cordrazine, Little Red, TZU, Subaudible Hum, Children Collide, Oh Mercy, Sparkadia, Kid Confucius, The Boat People, Sly Hats, The Valentinos, The Exploders, Even, The Dukes of Windsor, Offcutts, Holly Throsbie, The Panda Band, Love Outside Andromeda , Vasco Era and Dan Brodie.

They have recently been offered a distribution deal with a Japanese label and plan to tour there in mid 2009.
