I Blame The Scenery

These four young men from Arizona have developed into high-caliber pop musicians with an immense talent for precocious, intricately constructed pop songs seething with charm and innocence. They combine the textured, moody twang of Wilco and Calexico with the indie rock anthems of Archers of Loaf and Pavement to develop a sound uniquely their own. Jeff Bufano and Chris Corak are the two principal songwriters in the band and the two guitars and voices you hear. Both have recorded solo material and Bufano also plays in Go Big Casino, a side project of Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World). Atkins also plays on "I Blame the Scenery" one of a handful of guest musicians which give the record its rich flavor.
