The Spencer Davis Group's very British take on US R&B plus their own original songs and the strength of their live performances, were a major influence on many music fans in the 60's. The Spencer Davis Group stood tall with the likes of The Small Faces & The Kinks to offer the very best of UK R&B to the beat of the mod generation. The legendary producer Joe Boyd (Pink Floyd, Fairport Convention) was quoted as saying that when he came to the UK from America, the first live show he attended was an SDG concert and it created such an impact he sought to find a way into the music business from that point onwards.

Their records remain as popular and immediate today as they were back them and to celebrate this iconic band, Cherry Red is proud to present 'I Can't Get Enough Of It'.

This compilation presents the key songs from the peak period of the Group such as Every Little Bit Hurts, Keep On Running, Gimme Some Lovin', I'm A Man, Time Seller & Mr Second Class.

All recordings were made between 1965-1974, and feature Steve Winwood, Muff Winwood, Spencer Davis, Pete York, Eddie Hardin, Ray Fenwick.
