The Thermals' latest single, I Don't Believe You (the first from their upcoming hit record Personal Life on Kill Rock Stars), isn't a drastic (or any kind of) departure from their previous singles - 'I Don't Believe You' combines all of the winning elements The Thermals have used in the past to craft their brand of modern post-pop-punk-power-pop. From the ridiculously catchy guitar riff that opens the song to the group 'Oh-Oh-Ohs!' to the snappy, bratty lyrics, 'I Don't Believe You' is really just one hook to the next. If you hear this song once, you'll be singing along with it every time you hear it from then on. The (exclusive and unreleased) 'There's Nothing You Can't Learn,' is a bass-heavy Breeders-inspired stomp that continues one of The Thermals' favorite themes - loving or leaving everything that is crazy and wrong in the world.
