2009, Universal Motown
VINYL FORMAT. With a string on No 1 singles throughout the 1960s, The Supremes were instrumental in bridging the gap between the soulful sound of Motown and mainstream pop. The title track was the group's sixth number one, and along with the inclusion of "My World is Empty Without You," helped propel the LP into the Billboard top ten. Produced by Norman Whitfield in association with the Motown powerhouse of Lamont Dozier and Brian Holland, and backed by the Funk Brothers, the album also features covers of The Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody" and The Beatles' "Yesterday."
